Duties

  • Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities within K-12 school libraries to expand our reach and support educational goals
  • Cultivate and maintain lasting relationships with library staff, administrators, and educators through regular communication and personalized service
  • Present product offerings, including new book titles and educational resources, highlighting their benefits for student engagement and curriculum support
  • Conduct product demonstrations and provide tailored recommendations based on each library’s unique needs and budget considerations
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals, ensuring a seamless experience for clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate order processing, delivery schedules, and post-sale support
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new publications, and educational initiatives to better serve your clients and anticipate their evolving needs

Skills

  • Proven experience in sales within the education or library sector, with a focus on K-12 institutions preferred
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine enthusiasm for helping schools enhance their collections and resources
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities to effectively showcase products and address client questions
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain professional relationships over time
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and overcoming challenges
