We are seeking a highly skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to become the doctor's primary clinical partner. We are looking for someone who takes pride in advanced dentistry, critical thinking, professionalism, and delivering an exceptional patient experience. Qualifications:
- Holds an active Maryland EFDA certification
- Has extensive chairside experience in restorative, cosmetic, implant, and surgical dentistry
- Understands occlusion and restorative principles
- Has experience with veneers, temporaries, digital dentistry, and scanning technology
- Thinks critically and solves problems independently
- Is confident, professional, and comfortable engaging in clinical discussions, problem-solving, and collaborative treatment planning
- Maintains a polished professional appearance and communicates with warmth, confidence, and professionalism
- Thinks ahead, anticipates needs, and thrives in a high-level clinical environment
- Takes ownership of their role and holds themselves to a high standard
- Values teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of OSHA, HIPAA, sterilization, and infection control standards
Responsibilities:
- Assist with cosmetic, restorative, implant, and surgical procedures
- Support veneer and smile transformation cases
- Fabricate and adjust provisional restorations
- Pack cord and assist with advanced restorative procedures
- Capture high-quality digital scans for restorative and aligner treatment
- Maintain efficient clinical workflows and treatment room readiness
- Provide an elevated patient experience from start to finish
- Collaborate closely with the doctor and team to ensure exceptional outcomes
Schedule:
- Monday - Wednesday 8:30 - 5:30pm
- Thursday 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
- Occasional Fridays as needed
Compensation & Benefits:
- $28-$35/hour based on experience

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
