DUTIES

  • Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini splits, and ductwork
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation manuals to complete jobs accurately and efficiently
  • Perform system start-ups, testing, and commissioning to ensure proper function and compliance with manufacturer specifications
  • Diagnose and resolve installation issues and system malfunctions
  • Ensure all work meets local building codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations
  • Fabricate and install sheet metal duct systems when required
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, job sites, and company vehicles
  • Communicate professionally with customers to explain system operations and answer questions
  • Coordinate with office staff and team members to ensure smooth project scheduling and completion
  • Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE and proper handling of refrigerants and tools
  • Mentor and support less experienced team members as needed

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in residential and/or light commercial HVAC installation
  • Proven ability to install a wide range of systems including split systems, furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless mini splits
  • Experience reading and interpreting HVAC blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system layouts
  • Familiarity with local HVAC codes and EPA regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to safely use hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and installation materials
  • Comfortable working on rooftops, in crawl spaces, and in varying weather conditions
  • Prior experience with sheet metal fabrication and duct installation is preferred
  • EPA 608 Certification required; NATE certification is a plus
  • Strong track record of jobsite efficiency, customer communication, and quality workmanship

Our service area covers East Central Indiana.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
