Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Mass Tort Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This pivotal role involves supporting complex mass tort litigation cases, managing extensive document review, and coordinating with attorneys to ensure efficient case progression. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in legal research, case management, and a broad understanding of various practice areas including personal injury. Your expertise will help drive successful outcomes for our clients while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and organizational excellence.
Duties
- Assist attorneys in preparing and managing large-scale mass tort litigation cases, including document review, discovery, and case file organization
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies
- Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents such as pleadings, discovery responses, contracts, and memoranda with precision
- Manage electronic case files using document management systems
- Coordinate client interviews and maintain detailed records
- Support project management efforts by tracking case deadlines, court filings, and procedural requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Provide executive administrative support by handling correspondence, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and performing data entry tasks
- Assist with legal administrative processes such as filing state and federal court documents electronically or physically in accordance with court rules
Qualifications
- Paralegal experience with a focus on mass tort litigation is required
- Strong knowledge of legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis
- Proficiency in legal case management software
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Demonstrated experience in document review, drafting legal documents, proofreading, transcription, and contract preparation
- Familiarity with personal injury law or medical malpractice law
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong research skills combined with analytical thinking to interpret complex legal issues effectively
- Administrative experience supporting busy law offices or legal teams with clerical tasks such as filing and data entry
- High level of professionalism with excellent phone etiquette and attention to detail
