Experienced Professional Nanny based in Hawaii

Hānai Nanny Agency is actively hiring experienced, dependable, and nurturing nannies across Big Island, Oʻahu, and Maui. We are looking for caregivers throughout each island, including major towns, surrounding neighborhoods, and nearby communities, to support families seeking trusted, professional childcare.

Our families come from a variety of backgrounds and are looking for professional nannies who can provide attentive childcare while fostering safe, engaging, and enriching environments for their children. Positions may range from infant care to supporting school-aged children, to resort shifts with schedules varying based on each family's unique needs.

We are looking for caregivers who genuinely enjoy working with children, communicate professionally, and take pride in creating positive experiences for both children and parents.

Position Details

• Location: Oʻahu, Big Island, and Maui
• Start Date: Flexible
• Schedule: Monday–Sunday, between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM (schedule varies by family)
• Some positions may offer consistent weekly schedules
• Occasional evenings or weekends may be available depending on family needs
• Position Type: Part-Time or Full-Time
• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience, qualifications, and family needs

Responsibilities may include:

Childcare

• Providing attentive and nurturing care
• Supervising children at all times
• Supporting age-appropriate learning and development
• Engaging children in educational and creative activities
• Outdoor play and physical activities
• Reading, arts and crafts, and sensory play
• Supporting daily routines and transitions
• Assisting with meals and snacks
• Diapering and toileting support as needed
• Maintaining a safe environment

Child-Related Household Support

During downtime or naps, responsibilities may include:

• Children's laundry
• Washing bottles and dishes used during care
• Preparing children's meals and snacks
• Organizing play areas
• Tidying children's bedrooms and belongings
• Restocking childcare supplies
• Light household tasks related to the children

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of paid childcare experience
• Current Infant & Child CPR/First Aid Certification
• Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or school-aged children
• Strong professional references
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: Starts at $25/hr
