Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Expert in District Cooling to spearhead our efforts in developing sustainable and efficient cooling solutions across our innovative projects. This role is vital to ensuring that our developments provide comfort while minimizing environmental impact, aligning with our commitment to sustainability and modern living.
The Expert will work closely with various engineering and design teams to formulate and optimize district cooling systems, ensuring that our designs meet operational, regulatory, and sustainability standards.
- Lead the design and optimization of district cooling systems for Qiddiya’s portfolio, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
- Conduct feasibility studies and energy modeling to assess the viability of district cooling solutions in various developments.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate district cooling systems seamlessly into designs.
- Develop and review design specifications, drawings, and calculations to ensure they meet project requirements and industry best practices.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in the field of district cooling and energy management.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams during all project phases, from conceptual design through to construction and commissioning.
- Evaluate and recommend equipment and technologies that enhance the performance and efficiency of cooling systems.
- Participate in meetings with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Prepare and present reports on design proposals, project statuses, and operational performance metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the design and implementation of district cooling systems or HVAC systems.
- Deep understanding of mechanical systems design and energy efficiency principles.
- Strong experience with energy modeling software and tools used in district cooling design.
- Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of managing multiple technical projects.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to tackle complex design problems effectively.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of local and international building codes, regulations, and standards related to cooling systems.
