Export Import Executive( PVC PIPE)

Industry: Manufacturing (PVC, HDPE Pipes, Fittings, and related plumbing/irrigation solutions) Position OverviewThe Export-Import (EXIM) Manager will be responsible for overseeing all international trade operations, ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful movement of PVC and HDPE pipes and related raw materials across borders. This role requires a deep understanding of international trade regulations, logistics management, and excellent coordination with internal and external stakeholders to support the company's global market expansion. Key Responsibilities

Trade Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all import and export activities comply with relevant local, national, and international laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., Customs, DGFT, trade agreements).
Prepare, verify, and manage all necessary documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading (BL) / Air Waybills (AWB), Certificates of Origin, and insurance documents.
Finalize correct Harmonized System (HS) Codes/Tariff classifications for products (e.g., HSN 39172110 for HDPE pipes) to ensure proper customs duty calculation.
Logistics & Supply Chain Management:
Plan and manage the end-to-end shipping process, selecting the most economical and efficient transportation methods (sea, air, road) and carriers.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers (CHA), and transport companies to ensure smooth and timely customs clearance and delivery.
Monitor and track the location of all shipments, proactively addressing and resolving any delays, issues, or challenges that may arise during transit or customs inspection.
Manage warehousing and distribution activities as necessary, coordinating container movement to the plant.
Cost Control & Financial Management:
Negotiate freight rates, shipping terms, and contracts with suppliers and logistics service providers to optimize costs.
Calculate landed costs for imported raw materials and manage all costs associated with international shipments, including duties, taxes, and other fees.
Implement duty optimization strategies and manage financial transactions, letters of credit, and payment terms in compliance with financial laws.
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication:
Liaise with internal departments (Production, Sales, Purchase, Accounts, Quality Control) to align on shipping schedules, raw material availability, and order fulfillment.
Communicate effectively with international suppliers and customers, providing updates, pricing information, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Market & Strategy (Managerial Role):
Conduct market research to identify potential new international markets for PVC/HDPE pipes and contribute to business development strategies.
Stay updated on changes in global trade trends, market conditions, and regulatory policies to anticipate impact on business strategy.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An EXIM/Import-Export certification or an MBA is a plus.
Experience: Proven experience (e.g., 3-7+ years) in import/export operations, logistics, or freight forwarding, preferably within a manufacturing or similar industry (hardware, plumbing supplies, plastic raw materials).
Technical Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of international trade laws, customs procedures, and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with relevant software (ERP systems like SAP/Oracle, shipping/tracking software, MS Office).
Understanding of the PVC/HDPE pipe market, products, and raw material supply chains is highly desirable.
Soft Skills:
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with cultural competence for international dealings.
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational abilities, and the capacity to multitask and work under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
