Export Sales Engineer – South East Asia
General Summary of Position
The Export Sales Engineer – South East Asia is responsible for driving the company’s direct-to-end-user and channel-based sales activities across assigned SEA markets. The role focuses on developing new business, managing key accounts and distributors, and expanding market presence through technical sales expertise, relationship management, and strategic market development. The objective is to achieve and exceed sales targets while building long-term, sustainable partnerships with customers, consultants, and channel partners.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Achieve assigned export sales targets across South East Asia by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities.
- Develop and manage key accounts, distributors, and system integrators across SEA markets, ensuring effective market coverage and performance.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue sales opportunities using a consultative and value-based selling approach, building a strong and sustainable sales pipeline.
- Manage end-to-end customer relationships, including commercial negotiations, order follow-up, and after-sales coordination.
- Act as the single point of contact for consultants, MEP contractors, end users, and key accounts within assigned SEA territories.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (Pre-Sales, Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Finance) to ensure timely submission of proposals, accurate technical solutions, and smooth order execution.
- Support company registrations, approvals, and technical prequalification with consultants and customers in SEA markets.
- Collect and analyze market intelligence, including competitor activities, pricing trends, customer feedback, and regulatory requirements specific to the region.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, order intake reports, market updates, and performance reports to management.
- Participate in regional exhibitions, trade fairs, customer meetings, and business development events to promote brand visibility and generate leads.
- Identify opportunities for product line extensions and cross-selling within existing accounts.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, applications, and international standards relevant to export markets in South East Asia.
- Ensure compliance with company sales processes, reporting standards, and export documentation requirements.
