Job Summary

The Export Sales Manager is responsible for developing and expanding export sales across African markets by opening new territories and managing distributor partnerships. The role aims to drive revenue growth while ensuring full compliance with export regulations and Food & Beverage industry standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement export sales strategies targeting African markets
  • Identify, open, and develop new territories and distribution channels
  • Source, evaluate, and onboard new distributors and business partners
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with existing international clients
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contractual agreements
  • Coordinate closely with logistics, production, and supply chain teams
  • Ensure compliance with export regulations and F&B quality standards
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in export sales
  • Manufacturing, preferably in the Food & Beverage sector
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities
  • Leadership and decision-making capability
  • Strong commercial and business planning mindset
  • Problem-solving and crisis management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Solid knowledge of export and international trade regulations
  • Market research and competitor analysis expertise
  • Contract negotiation and distributor management
  • Pricing strategy development and P&L contribution
  • Supply chain coordination and demand planning
  • Strong understanding of the F&B manufacturing cycle
  • Hands-on experience with African export markets and channels
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (reporting, analysis, dashboards)
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Word for presentations and proposals
  • Experience using ERP systems
  • Fluency in English and French (mandatory)
  • Ability to manage multiple markets and priorities simultaneously
  • Capability to travel frequently across assigned regions
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work independently while aligning with cross-functional teams
