Extended Day Child Care Staff-Part Time Seasonal

Are you passionate about working with children and creating a safe, welcoming environment where they can thrive? The Ocean Community YMCA is looking for caring, reliable team members to support our campers through our before and after camp extended day program.

This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a team, building relationships, and making a positive impact in their community.

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday
• Morning Shift: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
• Afternoon Shift: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Part-time, seasonal

What You’ll Do:

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of campers before and after camp
• Engage children in fun, age-appropriate recreational activities
• Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where every camper feels they belong
• Maintain accurate attendance and follow all camp policies and safety procedures
• Communicate effectively with staff and leadership to support daily operations

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children preferred
• Positive, patient, and team-oriented mindset
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification-YMCA will train
• Commitment to YMCA values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility
