Job Description

Position Summary:

San3a Tech is seeking a highly motivated and technically versatile Fab Solutions Specialist to join our Fabrication Solutions team. This role sits at the intersection of digital fabrication, problem-solving, and hands-on making—supporting smooth project execution and ensuring high-quality fabricated outputs.

As a Fab Solutions Specialist, your primary mission is to deliver an exceptional client experience. You will work closely with individuals, startups, educational institutions, and corporate partners to understand their needs, respond to their messages and service requests, translate inputs into clear fabrication tasks, and guide them throughout the entire process from technical review to production to delivery. You will also support operational processes, documentation, and continuous improvement across the team.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement and Project Support

  • Respond to client messages, inquiries, and service requests across all communication channels.

  • Manage day-to-day communication with clients and address both technical and operational questions.

  • Translate client needs into clear fabrication tasks, ensuring feasibility, accuracy, and proper documentation.

  • Collect and analyze client feedback to support continuous improvement and prepare case studies.

  • Ensure timely updates, follow-ups, and clear expectation-setting throughout the service cycle.

Fabrication Execution

  • Fabricate products and components using 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC tools, and other fabrication technologies.

  • Review and prepare design files, ensuring manufacturability and consistent quality.

  • Follow up on outsourced fabrication requests and track their delivery.

  • Contribute to expanding the company's ready-to-use design library.

Technical Operations & Lab Installations

  • Support the full life cycle of Fab Lab installations, including planning, tendering, on-site installation, training, and post-installation support.

  • Assist in machine setup, calibration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of fabrication stations under the direction of senior team members.

Procurement, Vendor, and Resource Management

  • Support the purchasing process for machines, components, and materials by gathering requirements, preparing documentation, and coordinating with procurement leads.

  • Assist in communication with suppliers, vendors, and outsourced partners to ensure smooth order processing and follow-ups.

  • Contribute to tracking budgets, machine usage logs, and inventory records to help maintain operational efficiency without owning the full process.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing (Support Role)

  • Support internal teams—design, engineering, installations, and training—by contributing to tasks, documentation, and coordination rather than owning full cross-functional projects.

  • Assist in producing technical reports, documentation, and fabrication instructions as part of the team’s shared responsibilities.

  • Participate in internal learning activities and knowledge-sharing efforts without owning training or development programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.

  • Hands-on experience with fabrication tools (3D printers, CNC, laser cutters).

  • Basic-to-intermediate CAD modeling skills (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc.).

  • Working knowledge of fabrication safety procedures and protocols.

  • Ability to prepare clear technical reports and documentation.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills; able to work effectively in fast-paced environments.

  • Proficiency in English, written and spoken.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Fab Lab, makerspace, or similar fabrication environment.

  • Familiarity with electronics prototyping or mechatronics basics.

  • Experience with vendor communication, procurement, or supply-chain workflows.

  • Basic understanding of CAM or digital fabrication software.

  • Experience delivering workshops or technical sessions.

Benefits

  • Social and medical insurance.
  • Collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Professional development and growth opportunities.
