JOB TITLE : FAÇADE MANAGER

POSITION DESCRIPTION :

The Façade Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete design review and coordination process related to façade systems for a landmark high-rise residential project in Gurugram, India. The development features 8 luxury apartment towers with a total built-up area of approximately 690,000 m². As a key member of the design management team, the Façade Manager plays a central role in ensuring that all façade elements including glazing, curtain walls, cladding, louvers, and other architectural envelopes meet the design intent, performance criteria, and compliance requirements.

This role includes close coordination with the architectural, structural, MEP, and procurement teams. The Façade Manager will lead technical reviews, guide consultants and contractors, and oversee the implementation of façade strategies from concept through construction and commissioning.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILIITES :

• Manage the full façade design coordination process from concept to detailed design, construction, testing, and commissioning.
• Review façade design documents and specifications to ensure alignment with architectural intent, building codes, and performance criteria.
• Coordinate façade design activities with architectural, structural, MEP, and interior design teams.
• Oversee mock-up and performance testing procedures, materials selection, and fabrication shop drawings.
• Lead technical discussions and review meetings with consultants, façade contractors, and suppliers.
• Evaluate thermal, acoustic, water resistance, air infiltration, fire safety, and structural performance of façade systems.
• Review and approve submittals including material data, samples, calculations, and installation methodologies.
• Monitor façade design compliance with energy codes, green building certifications, and maintenance considerations.
• Supervise façade construction planning including sequencing, access strategies, and integration with site logistics.
• Track and resolve façade-related RFIs, design changes, and site coordination issues in collaboration with site engineers.
• Support cost and procurement teams with technical specifications and contractor evaluations.
• Coordinate regular meetings with contractors and client, prepare and maintain façade-related logs, comment sheets, compliance trackers, and milestone reports.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or façade-specific certifications are preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience with façade engineering and coordination, including work on high-rise and complex building envelopes.
• Strong technical knowledge of curtain wall systems, cladding materials, unitized panels, structural glazing, and testing standards.
• Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino/Grasshopper, and structural analysis tools.
• Experience with mock-up testing protocols, manufacturing audits, and construction supervision of façade packages.
• Solid understanding of Indian and international codes such as NBC, ASTM, EN, and LEED/BREEAM performance guidelines.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential; local knowledge of understanding is mandatory.
• Willingness to be based full-time at the project site in Gurugram, India.
