Facial Therapist

A facial therapist (or skin therapist/esthetician) provides skin treatments like facials, cleansing, exfoliation, and massage, analyzes skin conditions, recommends skincare routines, and performs hair removal (waxing, threading), makeup, and other beauty services (nails, lashes) while ensuring client comfort, cleanliness, and product sales, managing appointments, and maintaining client records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Consultation: Assess skin type, concerns, and goals; recommend suitable treatments and products.
  • Facial Treatments: Perform deep cleansing, exfoliation (peels, microdermabrasion), masque application, facial massage, and hydration.
  • Hair Removal: Use waxing, threading, or electrolysis for facial and body hair.
  • Skincare Services: Offer eyebrow shaping, lash tinting, makeup application, spray tanning, and advanced treatments like skin needling or light therapy (if qualified).
  • Product Sales: Advise on and sell retail skincare products for home care.
  • Salon Maintenance: Sterilize tools, clean treatment rooms, and restock supplies.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage appointments, process payments, update client records, and maintain a clean workstation.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
