Facilities Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a senior-level Facilities Engineer to join our Oil & Gas team, focusing on the design, optimization, and operation of facilities in congested oilfields. This is a pivotal role for an experienced professional who can bring technical depth, strategic oversight, and leadership to complex facility engineering challenges.

You will ensure facilities are safe, efficient, and optimized for production while driving debottlenecking initiatives and mentoring younger engineers.

Responsibilities

• Facility Design & Development: Lead the design and development of production facilities, processing plants, pipelines, and storage systems for oil and gas operations.
• Space Optimization: Engineer layouts that maximize efficiency, minimize congestion, and improve operational safety.
• Debottlenecking & Performance Improvement: Diagnose throughput constraints using network models and deliver solutions to increase production efficiency.
• Flow Assurance: Define and implement strategies for hydrate, wax, asphaltene, and corrosion control in constrained systems.
• Operations & Maintenance: Oversee the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance programs for safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
• Collaboration: Partner with reservoir, production, and project teams to align facility capabilities with field development plans.
• Project Leadership: Lead engineering scopes from FEED through execution, ensuring delivery on cost, schedule, and HSE requirements. Mentor and guide junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 15–20 years of experience in facilities engineering within upstream oil & gas (offshore and/or onshore).

Required Skills

• Demonstrated expertise in facility design, debottlenecking, and optimization in congested oilfields.
• Proven track record in flow assurance, network modeling, and operations optimization.
• Proficiency with engineering software such as:
• Network Modeling: PIPESIM, GAP, Nexus, Prosper
• Flow Assurance: OLGA, LedaFlow, Multiflash, PVTSim
• Process Simulation: HYSYS, PRO II, Unisim
• CAD/CFD tools for equipment and layout design
• Strong project management and leadership skills, with experience guiding multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in mentoring and developing junior engineers.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
