Facilities Engineer

JOB TITLE

Facilities Engineer | MAF Entertainment

Role Summary

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for managing day-to-day technical and housekeeping operations at MAF Entertainment facilities, planning project-related activities efficiently and profitably. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors to perform site visits, maintenance, and inspections according to operational specifications, maintenance manuals, preventive maintenance plans (PPM), and MAF Entertainment standards.

ROLE PROFILE

  • Conduct bi-annual technical audits across facilities management contracts, follow up with subcontractors to close snags, and report deficiencies according to quality assurance procedures.
  • Manage project specifications, technical data, and formal design reviews with the Facilities Manager; coordinate design inputs, outputs, and changes as required.
  • Source, schedule, and appraise purchased materials, ensuring timely availability on site; monitor labor allocation and adjust resources in coordination with cinema teams and subcontractors.
  • Prepare, review, and update short-term work programs for staff, labor, and plant, ensuring projects stay within timescales and budget.
  • Maintain accurate registers for fixed assets, as-built drawings, maintenance schedules, and track compliance with preventive maintenance plans through subcontractors.
  • Ensure proper execution of facilities management contracts (cleaning, maintenance), monitor sub-contractor agreements, and implement energy-saving initiatives where appropriate.
  • Maintain site working practices according to the company’s health and safety plan; coordinate with the HSE team to identify and mitigate risks, and ensure emergency information is accurate and visible.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, cinema representatives, and internal teams to ensure technical documentation, operation manuals, and contract requirements are available, updated, and implemented correctly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institute; additional maintenance certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 3–5+ years in Facilities Management (FM), MEP, and Engineering activities, with knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver soft facilities management services and oversee day-to-day technical operations.
  • Proven ability to achieve goals, manage key business relations, and provide leadership as part of the executive management team.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; capable of dealing with employees at senior levels effectively.
  • Results-oriented, collaborative, and able to provide strategic direction while managing operational activities.
