Job purpose
Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the successful operations of Facilities Maintenance and janitorial staff.
Duties and responsibilities

Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) Rules and Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Company and departmental policies and procedures.

Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow team members.

Supervise, assign jobs, and ensure timely completion of projects by maintenance technicians.

Perform routine field inspections on-site and at off-site locations.

Prepare technical reports and maintain logbooks as required.

Maintain and apply knowledge of applicable fire, health, safety, and environmental standards as well as relevant state, local, and national codes.

React in a timely manner to emergency situations.

Coordinate maintenance and modification projects with appropriated department to ensure minimal guest interruption.

To oversee the supervision of maintenance and repair at company facilities and equipment.

Supervise the EVS department team to include efficient staffing, team member development and training, performance management and policy enforcement.

Supervise and distribute workload evenly to all team members, monitors the cleanliness of assigned areas.

Recruit, select, train, coach, counsel, recognize, and retain direct reports who consistently perform actions and behaviors that reinforce excellence in business operations and guest service.

Stay abreast of current trends and practices within area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports, and team members as appropriate.

Promote positive public/team member relations at all times.

Perform any duties on or off-site involving guest services and quality control including, but not limited to, special events, guest giveaways, crowd control, property cleanliness, and other hospitality functions as needed.

Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.

Safeguard the confidential information of all team members, department, and company records.

Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.

Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or equivalent required; trade school certificate preferred.

Ability to obtain a gaming license.

One (1) to three (3) years of experience in commercial industrial facilities maintenance preferred.

One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a casino environment preferred.

Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable experience.
