We are seeking a skilled and organized Facility & Maintenance Engineer with experience in the sports field to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting sports and club facilities, managing maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with building codes, safety standards, and operational requirements. This role plays a vital part in maintaining safe, efficient, and high-quality facilities that support athletic performance and club operations.



Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of sports and club facilities to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee maintenance projects and manage facility systems, including sports infrastructure, utilities, and equipment.
  • Develop and implement maintenance policies, procedures, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Monitor and report on facility performance metrics and maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to address facility needs related to training, events, and daily operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance facility reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise facility staff and contractors to ensure timely and quality maintenance execution.
  • Collaborate closely with the Facility & Maintenance Manager to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations across all venues.



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical), Facility Management, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of total work experience, including at least 2 years in facility engineering or maintenance roles.
  • Previous experience working in the sports or recreation sector is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of facility management and engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with safety standards, sports facility operations, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate across diverse teams.
  • Professional certifications such as PE or CFM are an advantage.
