Job Summary

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and upkeep of immersive venues, including exhibits, installations, and building infrastructure. This role ensures all spaces, systems, and interactive elements remain safe, operational, and visually presentable. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and experienced in maintaining facilities with high guest traffic and technical elements.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Inspections & General Maintenance

• Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance of facilities and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
• Address minor repairs immediately, including fixing broken parts, tightening loose screws, and replacing worn-out components.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize operational disruption.

Public Area Safety & Accessibility

• Ensure all public areas, including restrooms, are clean, safe, and accessible to visitors at all times.
• Regularly inspect for potential safety hazards and carry out necessary adjustments or repairs to prevent accidents.

Electrical Maintenance & Support

• Inspect electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, and lighting fixtures, to identify and resolve issues.
• Replace light bulbs, ballasts, and fixtures as needed to ensure all areas are well-lit and compliant with safety standards.
• Assist with the installation of new electrical components, ensuring they are safely and correctly wired.
• Respond promptly to electricalemergencies such as power outages or short circuits and restore functionality with minimal disruption.

Contractor & Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance work beyond in-house capabilities.
• Monitor contractor activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to required standards.

Inventory & Supplies Management

• Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts required for routine maintenance, particularly electrical repairs.
• Order supplies and replacement parts as needed to ensure uninterrupted maintenance operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certification in Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field.
• Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in entertainment, attractions, museums, or high-traffic venues.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Experience supporting AV, lighting, or interactive systems is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and work independently.
• Physically fit and able to perform hands-on maintenance tasks.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and after-hours maintenance when required.

Work Environment & Schedule:

· Based in Dubai,

· 6-day work week with flexibility for weekends, and public holidays.
