What We're Looking For:
Education:
-
High school diploma or GED (required)
Experience:
-
Minimum 2 years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a healthcare facility or similar environment (required)
-
4+ years of experience in plant operations and general maintenance in a healthcare facility or similar environment (preferred)
-
Healthcare facility experience (preferred)
Certifications and Licenses:
-
Valid driver’s license (required)
Additional Skills Required:

Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing

Ability to apply customer satisfaction standards in daily work

Knowledgeable in the use of a variety of hand and power tools used in facility maintenance

Ability to interact effectively with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority
Additional Skills Preferred:

Plumbing experience (highly preferred)

Broad knowledge of principles in the design, operation, and repair of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems

Knowledge of building, electrical, and fire codes, including The Joint Commission Environment of Care standards

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
What You'll Do:
The Facility Maintenance Technician II performs intermediate-level maintenance work as assigned by Plant Engineering Services leadership to maintain the life and safety of facility assets.
Responsibilities include:

Maintain and repair physical structures, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, utilities, and grounds

Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting

Ensure all systems operate in a safe and compliant condition

Use a variety of hand and power tools effectively
-
Support a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff

Follow regulatory standards and internal safety guidelines
-
Work independently and as part of a team to resolve facility issues
