Position Summary & Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and overall functionality of the KBI Regional Crime Center and Laboratory (RCCL). This role ensures that the physical infrastructure, systems, and services operate efficiently, safely, and in alignment with the organizational goals. The Facility Manager leads efforts in preventative maintenance, vendor management, space planning, safety compliance, and cost-effective operations, Working closely with internal teams and external contractors, The Facility Manager plays a key role in delivering a clean, safe, and productive environment for all occupants.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Maintain and oversee RCCL facility located in Pittsburg, KS. Coordinate the utilization and compliance of maintenance contracts/vendors to ensure facility systems are properly maintained and down time is minimized. Follow preventative maintenance scheduling on building systems that includes repairs, service and implement modifications when needed.
Supervise skilled or semi-skilled workers in the installation, operation and maintenance of mechanical systems, such as steam, heat, electrical power, refrigeration or water supply and sewage systems; explains procedures, demonstrates techniques and assists subordinates in the more complex projects.
Monitor RCCL facility management/control systems – electronically and visually monitor and troubleshoot building systems; coordinate with contractors as repairs are needed; maintain records; act as primary responder to afterhours building related issues.
Monitor RCCL security system – monitor receiving area cameras for security, deliveries and alarms; act as primary responder to afterhour’s equipment related alarm calls.
Coordinate RCCL facility related purchasing activities with the business office and Investigation/laboratory administration – generate, review, modify and coordinate RCCL facility maintenance contracts; anticipate future maintenance/supply needs; monitor RCCL utility bills to ensure efficient operations.
Coordinate and oversee General Maintenance and Repair Technician staff; ensure the facility is properly cleaned and maintained, monitor and maintain adequate supply of janitorial supplies.
Maintains control measures over worker safety practices and care of equipment, tools and supplies.
