We are looking for a Factory Manager with joinery experience to oversee our woodworking/furniture production facility. The role involves managing production, quality, workforce, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality joinery products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all aspects of joinery production, including cutting, assembling, finishing, and packaging.
  • Manage workshop staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control and craftsmanship.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and fire regulations in the workshop.
  • Plan production schedules and monitor progress to meet delivery timelines.
  • Optimize material usage and reduce wastage.
  • Coordinate with procurement, design, and logistics teams.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of joinery, woodworking machinery, and techniques.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, workflow optimization, and production software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Wood Technology, Carpentry, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in joinery or furniture factory management.
  • Lean/Six Sigma or production management certifications are a plus.
