Factory operations manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our production, dispatch, and quality control departments of orthopaedic implants manufactiring. The ideal candidate will ensure that all operations run smoothly and efficiently, meeting the company’s production and dispatch targets.

Key Responsibilities

Overall Operations Management

  • Oversee end-to-end operations of the manufacturing unit, ensuring seamless coordination between production, quality, and dispatch.
  • Act as the primary point of accountability for operational performance, efficiency, and output.

Production Management

  • Plan, monitor, and control daily production activities to ensure targets are met as per schedules.
  • Optimize production workflows to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize wastage.
  • Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
  • Coordinate closely with production planning to align output with demand forecasts.

CNC / VMC Machine Oversight

  • Monitor performance and productivity of CNC and VMC machines.
  • Ensure proper machine utilization, preventive maintenance, and minimal breakdowns.
  • Work with maintenance teams to address technical issues and improve machine uptime.

Dispatch & Logistics

  • Oversee dispatch operations to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of finished goods.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners and internal teams to meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch records and inventory movement documentation.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements relevant to medical device manufacturing.
  • Support quality control processes to ensure products meet internal and external quality benchmarks.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and corrective/preventive action planning.

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage supervisors, operators, and support staff across departments.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews, identify skill gaps, and support training initiatives.

Process Improvement

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality or compliance.
  • Promote lean manufacturing and best practices wherever applicable.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Atleast 6 years of experience in operations or production management, preferably in:
  • Medical devices
  • Orthopaedic implants
  • Precision metal manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of:
  • CNC and VMC machining
  • Metal-based manufacturing processes
  • Production planning and scheduling
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and execution skills.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems and regulatory compliance in manufacturing.
  • Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Production, or related engineering discipline(preferred).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
