We are a leading biochar production company committed to sustainable solutions and high-quality products. We are expanding our operations in Barka and are looking for a proactive and experienced Factory Supervisor to lead our production facility.

Job Overview:
The Factory Supervisor will oversee daily operations of the biochar production facility, manage teams, ensure equipment efficiency, maintain product quality, and drive continuous process improvements. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge and operational management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Management

• Supervise daily biochar production operations to ensure consistent output.
• Monitor feedstock preparation, pyrolysis processes, and post-production handling.
• Ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, operators, and labor teams to maintain smooth operations.

2. Equipment Operation & Maintenance

• Oversee the operation of pyrolysis equipment and associated machinery.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve operational issues; coordinate repairs with technical teams.

3. Team Supervision & Development

• Supervise engineers, operators, and factory workers.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor performance.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to enhance team capabilities.

4. Feedstock & Material Management

• Ensure proper preparation and handling of feedstock materials.
• Monitor material usage and minimize waste.
• Maintain stock and usage records.

5. Quality Control

• Ensure biochar meets required specifications and standards.
• Supervise cooling, packaging, and storage processes.
• Recommend improvements for product consistency.

6. Safety & Compliance

• Enforce safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.

7. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily production reports and performance summaries.
• Maintain accurate records of materials, production, and equipment performance.
• Report operational issues, malfunctions, and incidents promptly.

8. Operational Optimization

• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, and reduce downtime.
• Recommend and support implementation of operational improvements.

9. Training & Knowledge Transfer

• Train team members on best operational practices.
• Support development and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

10. Other Duties

• Perform additional responsibilities related to factory supervision as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in factory supervision or production management (experience in biochar, biomass, or chemical production preferred).
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, pyrolysis processes, and production workflows.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control procedures.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
