Family Assistant (Childcare + Household Support)

Family seeking a dependable, proactive Family Assistant to initially support after-school childcare and light household tasks. This is a long-term opportunity starting August, with potential to transition to full-time by the end of the year as family needs grow.

Paid babysitting opportunities will be available before August as part of the interview and onboarding process.

Schedule (starting):

Approximately 20 hours per week, primarily afternoons/early evenings. Schedule may expand over time.

Responsibilities include:

• After-school pick-up, care, and supervision (ages 4 and 8)
• Supporting children’s routines and activities
• Preparing simple meals/snacks and next-day lunchboxes
• Children’s laundry and light household upkeep (dishes, tidying common areas)
• Helping maintain smooth day-to-day household flow
• Running occasional local errands (e.g., grocery pickup, food pickup)
• Supporting light household organization and coordination (e.g., receiving deliveries, being present for scheduled services, helping keep the home organized)
• Occasional support with family logistics (e.g., scheduling or coordination)
• Assisting with simple pet care (e.g., letting dog out, ensuring water is filled)

Primary focus is childcare; household tasks support overall daily flow.

Requirements:

• CPR certified
• Fingerprint clearance (or willing to obtain)
• Comfortable around a large, friendly dog
• Must have a clean driving record
• Valid driver’s license
• Comfortable driving children using a family-provided vehicle
• Reliable and consistent
• Not a bring-your-child-to-work role

Compensation:

Starting at $18/hr, with opportunities for increased hours and pay over time as responsibilities grow.
