Overview
We are seeking a highly capable, proactive Family Assistant to support our household across three key areas: child development, household organization, and day-to-day home support.
This is not a traditional nanny role. We’re looking for someone who can contribute across all areas—helping our two bright children (ages 5 and 6) grow and learn at an accelerated pace, while also keeping the home organized and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accelerated Learning & Child Development
- Work with two highly capable children (ages 5 and 6) in a focused, structured environment
- Reinforce and extend learning beyond grade level (reading, writing, math, problem-solving)
- Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and strong learning habits
- Help maintain routines, focus, and discipline
- Engage in thoughtful, development-focused activities (not just passive play)
2. Household Organization
- Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and functional home environment
- Create and uphold systems for organization (toys, clothing, school materials, shared spaces)
- Keep children’s rooms organized and clutter-free
- Proactively identify and address disorganization
- Help teach and reinforce organization habits with the children
- Ensure everything in the home has a place and stays in order
3. Household Support
- Laundry (wash, fold, and put away in an organized manner)
- Light housekeeping and daily tidying
- Meal prep (simple, healthy meals and snacks)
- Run errands (groceries, returns, general household needs)
Qualifications
- Experience working with young children (nanny, tutor, teacher, or similar)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to support or teach above grade-level early academics
- Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through
- Comfortable multitasking across childcare and household responsibilities
- Reliable transportation (preferred)
Ideal Candidate
- Enjoys working with bright, fast-learning children
- Naturally organized and takes pride in maintaining order
- Takes ownership without needing constant direction
- Brings both warmth and structure into the home
- Functions as a true “right hand” to the family
Schedule & Compensation
- Flexible (part-time or full-time depending on fit)
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
