Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive primary care services across diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and adult patients. Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine health status and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices for acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and emergency care.
- Perform procedures including suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, wound care, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, and sterile processing techniques.
- Manage medication administration and injections while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical protocols.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records.
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care and support patients remotely.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and infection control initiatives to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Valid Family Nurse Practitioner license with current certification from an accredited program.
- Proven experience working in diverse clinical settings such as hospital medicine, emergency rooms, ICU/CCU units (Critical Care Units), or outpatient clinics.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures, and familiarity with healthcare compliance standards like HIPAA.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth for efficient medical documentation.
- Skilled in performing clinical procedures including suturing, phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile technique, spinal taps, gastrostomy tube feeding management, and airway management techniques.
- Background in managing complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care (including Level I Trauma Center experience), hospice & palliative medicine or geriatrics is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children (pediatric care), seniors (geriatric care), individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities; experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is a plus.
- Excellent patient assessment skills complemented by physiology knowledge and the ability to perform diagnostic evaluations such as sonography or laboratory specimen processing. Pay: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
