Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions. The FNP will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, providing appropriate treatment plans.
• Administer IV infusions and perform venipuncture as needed for patient care.
• Prescribe medications and manage psychopharmacology for patients requiring mental health support.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, particularly in internal medicine and geriatrics.
• Monitor vital signs and evaluate patient responses to treatment, making adjustments as necessary.
• Utilize eClinicalWorks for electronic health record management, ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters.
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management strategies.
• Participate in hospital medicine as required, providing care in inpatient settings when necessary.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Family Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience in psychopharmacology preferred; familiarity with geriatrics is a plus.
• Proficient in performing venipuncture and IV infusion techniques.
• Strong knowledge of internal medicine principles and practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a healthcare team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in nursing.
