We are looking for a CPA with strong accounting and tax skills who wants to expand into wealth management for high-net-worth business owners. You'll be the right hand to our Family Office Director, managing the personal accounting, tax planning and projections, and investment coordination for our 7-8 figure clients.

This is a strategic role coordinating comprehensive financial services - ensuring our clients' personal accounting, tax strategies, and investment management all work together seamlessly. You don't need prior wealth management experience; we're looking for someone with solid technical skills who's excited to grow beyond traditional tax and accounting work..

Your ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship & Coordination:

  • Work directly with the Family Office Director to coordinate all client services
  • Attend client meetings to present financial reports, tax projections, and investment updates
  • Manage the personal accounting, tax, and investments work
  • Proactively identify tax savings and financial optimization opportunities

Personal Accounting:

  • Prepare and oversee personal accounting for high-net-worth households
  • Prepare personal financial statements (PFS)
  • Responsible for personal bookkeeping, bill pay (not yet), and cash management
  • Track personal assets, liabilities, income, and expenses across multiple entities
  • Manage cash needs projections

Tax Planning & Management:

  • Prepare tax projections and scenario analysis for complex situations
  • Prepare and coordinate tax strategies across personal, business, trust, and estate returns
  • Conduct tax research and recommend strategies to minimize tax liability
  • Manage quarterly estimated payments and ensure timely filings
  • Lead client tax strategy meetings
  • Stay current on tax law changes

Systems & Process:

  • Maintain organized client files and documentation
  • Track and meet all client deadlines
  • Implement technology systems for efficient service delivery
  • Generate regular client status reports

Must Have:

  • Active CPA certification
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (Master's in Taxation preferred)
  • 3-5 years of tax preparation and planning experience
  • Strong accounting skills and ability to prepare financial statements
  • Experience preparing complex personal and business tax returns
  • Genuine interest in personal finance and wealth management
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
  • Strong Excel and tax projection software skills
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • High integrity and discretion with confidential information

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with financial planning software
  • Experience with business owners and entrepreneurs
  • Exposure to investment and financial planning concepts
  • Knowledge of estate planning and wealth transfer strategies
  • Familiarity with family office concepts

Position Details

  • Remote, part-time to start, can turn into full-time position
  • Set work hours during PST business hours

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
