Company Description

AEON Abaya is a fast-growing fashion and retail startup operating across design, production, e-commerce, and physical stores. We are building structure while scaling fast and are looking for a hands-on HR Manager who can work in a dynamic startup environment.

Role Overview

The ideal fashion designer candidate should be able to create stylish designs, select fabrics, and develop concepts based on current fashion trends and communicate well with the production team to ensure the concept is accurately completed.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop fashion concepts and sketches
• Select fabrics, colors, and materials
• Coordinate with production and tailoring teams to ensure accuracy of production
• Oversee fittings and final design adjustments
• Ability to communicate well and smoothly with the production team on expectations and requirements
• Create collections based on seasons, events, festivals, fashion trends, etc.
• Creating tech packs (measurements, specification, fabric, trims, cuts, etc.) for bulk manufacturing.

• Creative, detail-oriented, and trend-aware
• Willing to work around the clock to research high quality materials and develop new designs
• Strong knowledge of materials and ability to source it
• Bold enough to advise management on new collection experiments

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field (preferred).
• Hands-on experience in designing Arab fashion wear
• Strong knowledge materials, garment construction and fabric sourcing.
• Proficiency in drawing, 3D modeling software and Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience creating tech packs (measurements, specification, fabric, trims, cuts, etc.) for manufacturing.
• Understanding of sizing standards for the regional market.
• Knowledge of regional market trends to ensure relevance in designs.
