Fashion Designer: Female

Job Purpose

To conceptualize, design, and develop fashion collections that are creative, market-relevant, and aligned with the brand’s identity. The role involves trend research, sketching, fabric selection, and coordinating with sampling and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Trend Research & Concept Development

Conduct market and trend research to understand upcoming styles, colors, and silhouettes.

Create mood boards, themes, and design stories for seasonal collections.

Attend trade fairs, exhibitions, and fashion shows for inspiration and sourcing.

2. Designing

Sketch original designs for garments/accessories using hand sketches or CAD software.

Develop design concepts from idea to final product.

Select suitable fabrics, trims, and materials.

3. Sampling & Product Development

Coordinate with pattern makers and sampling team to develop prototypes.

Review and refine samples to match design expectations.

Ensure timely development and approvals of samples.

4. Technical Specifications

Create tech packs with detailed measurements, stitching details, trims, and embellishments.

Work closely with merchandisers, production, and quality teams to ensure accurate execution.

5. Vendor & Fabric Coordination

Source and liaise with fabric suppliers and vendors for materials and trims.

Approve swatches and lab dips as per design requirement.

6. Presentation & Review

Present design collections to the internal team or buyers.

Incorporate feedback and finalize collections for production.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong creative and artistic sense

Good understanding of garment construction and textiles

Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, CLO 3D, etc.)

Good visualization and sketching skills

Attention to detail and fashion trends

Strong communication and time management

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s / Diploma in Fashion Design from a reputed institute (e.g., NIFT, Pearl Academy, etc.)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
