FEATURES EDITOR, AD Middle East

Architectural Digest is seeking an experienced features editor to join its team at AD Middle East. Reporting to the Head of Editorial Content (HEC), the ideal candidate commands a solid understanding of the design industry, has a passion for interior design and architecture, and a track record for delivering high quality print and digital work with an eye on measured growth. The candidate must also be articulate, self-motivated and able to manage their workload effectively in a fast-paced environment: an individual who is socially smart with high attention to detail.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day content strategy execution for the market , working with the HEC. Support HEC in setting AD long-term digital content strategy, aligned with brand vision.
  • Develop print and digital editorial . Identify and propose print features/themes/calendar as well as high-impact regional content designed to reach KPI targets. Work with AD editors and freelancers to assign, create and produce content, along with aud dev teams, global content manager, and global editorial leadership. Collaborate with global content managers and operations teams to optimise local content production and global initiatives.
  • Work with business teams on client and consumer initiatives , including but not limited to events, partnerships, and other programs.
  • Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience editing, writing and managing a team at a media company.
    • Deep, nuanced knowledge of international design, culture and style, with a network of contacts a plus.
    • Strong collaboration and organisational skills; deadline-conscious, goal-oriented.
    • Excellent communication, leadership and listening skills.
    • Proven ability to understand analytics and work with audience development teams to reach performance goals.
    • Affiliate/ecommerce experience a plus.
