The TOI Editorial function is the driving force behind the generation of content that shapes the reader experience. With a focus on news and analysis, this function constantly endeavours to implement path-breaking ideas and drive value-creation innovations.

Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Features Writer with over 6 years of experience in mainstream media, specializing in covering topics from economic, social, and legal perspectives. This role requires a deep understanding of these areas while maintaining a knack for transforming complex subjects into engaging, accessible content. As a Features Writer, you will play a crucial role in adding an additional layer to our long-standing strengths in traditional lifestyle and entertainment content with insightful analyses, data demystification and thought-provoking narratives.

Location: Mumbai (for Mumbai Mirror) and Delhi (TOI)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Journalism, Economics, Sociology, Law, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience as a Features Writer in a reputable media house, with a focus on economic, social, and legal topics.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality feature articles with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in blending analytical rigor with engaging storytelling.
• Strong research, writing, and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of journalistic integrity and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with AP style or other similar editorial guidelines.
• Proficiency in digital publishing tools and content management systems is advantageous.
