Job Title: Female Accountant (Construction Industry)

Job Summary:
The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing budgets, monitoring project costs, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the construction industry and be familiar with project-based accounting and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable specific to construction projects.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and revenue recognition.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.
• Track and report on project expenditures, progress billing, and retainage.
• Liaise with project managers, procurement, and site teams for cost control.
• Support audits, tax filings, and statutory reporting.
• Assist in cash flow forecasting and financial planning.
• Implement and improve internal controls and accounting processes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience in construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, WIP schedules, and job costing.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage 300 Construction, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills; ability to work with complex spreadsheets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with local tax laws and construction-specific regulations.
• Experience in ERP or project management tools used in construction.
• Knowledge of subcontractor management, progress billing, and change order processes.
