Female Estimation Engineer (Automation Control Systems)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Female Estimation Engineer to join a leading construction and automation firm in Qatar. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, evaluating technical specifications, and supporting the design and implementation of automation and control systems across commercial, residential, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation

• Develop precise and competitive cost estimates for automation and control system projects, including hardware, software, installation, and integration.
• Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to produce realistic project proposals.
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare detailed bills of materials (BOMs).

Technical Analysis & Support

• Review project drawings, specifications, and documentation to understand project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, project managers, and clients to verify technical needs.
• Provide guidance on BMS configurations, including HVAC, lighting automation, security, and energy management systems.

Proposal & Bid Management

• Prepare proposals, quotations, and tender documentation for control and automation projects.
• Ensure all system components are accurately specified and included in proposals.
• Support the sales team in responding to RFPs and RFQs.

Project Planning & Coordination

• Estimate project timelines and assist with scheduling.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment with budgets and deadlines.
• Identify potential project risks and suggest mitigation strategies.

Vendor & Supplier Liaison

• Source quotations for project materials and services from vendors and suppliers.
• Assess proposals for technical and financial compliance.

Budget Monitoring

• Track expenditures to ensure adherence to project budgets.
• Recommend cost optimization solutions without compromising quality.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of cost breakdowns, design documents, and estimation files.
• Ensure all project and estimation documentation is properly archived.

Client Interaction

• Consult with clients to understand their requirements and propose suitable BMS solutions.
• Present estimates clearly, explaining technical and financial aspects.
• Support client satisfaction throughout the pre-sales and estimation process.

Compliance & Technical Standards

• Ensure all solutions meet industry standards and local regulations.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies in BMS and control systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in project estimation or engineering within control systems.
• Knowledge of controllers, sensors, HVAC, lighting control, and integrated BMS solutions.
• Experience with SCADA, energy management systems, and control panel design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and estimation/design software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Must be based in Qatar with a valid QID and available to join with short notice period.
