Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare to children in the nursery, ensuring their safety and well-being. This role involves maintaining a healthy environment, delivering first aid, monitoring health conditions, and keeping accurate records. Candidates must hold a valid DHA license, have a background in nursing, and experience in paediatric or school settings.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required).
- License/Certification: Valid DHA license as a Registered Nurse (required).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years working with children between the ages of 0 to 6 years old is preferred in a school, nursery, or paediatric setting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. (fluent proficiency required)
- Additional Skills: Knowledge of DHA regulations, Health and Safety policies, and First Aid/CPR certification.(required)
- Fire Safety training would be an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for students, including health checks, first aid, and emergency responses.
- Maintain up-to-date immunization records and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Actively participate in and implement nursery safety and preventative health measures.
- Conduct health assessments, manage chronic conditions, and administer medications as needed.
- Keep accurate and confidential health records for all students.
- Ensure a safe, clean nursery environment conducive to children's well-being.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and healthcare providers to address health concerns.
- Educate the nursery community on topics like hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Maintain and manage clinical equipment, medications, and supplies.
- Record and report injuries or suspicions of harm following Child Protection guidelines.
- Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- Engage in nursery activities, emergency drills, and professional training.
- Uphold UAE cultural values and maintain professional standards in all interactions.
