The Fertility Preservation Program at Michigan Medicine provides comprehensive, integrated, multidisciplinary care for pediatric and adult patients who wish to preserve fertility prior to potentially gonadotoxic treatment, as well as individuals who require fertility care after completion of treatment.
The Fertility Preservation Health Educator is a knowledgeable and compassionate healthcare professional who delivers fertility preservation education and counseling to patients and families while guiding them through the medical, emotional, and logistical aspects of this care. The Fertility Preservation Health Educator works with patients, their medical teams, and collaborating disciplines to support informed decision-making and timely access to fertility preservation services. Beyond direct patient intervention, this position serves as a subject matter expert and advocate, ensuring continuity of care and accurate data tracking. Additionally, they will provide education for providers and staff, in the form of individual guidance and large group educational presentations.
An exciting component of this role includes helping to grow the program through the development and implementation of pediatric fertility preservation services, including ovarian tissue and testicular tissue cryopreservation. This position offers an opportunity to develop expertise at the intersection of patient education and counseling, reproductive medicine, and complex medical care.

Supervision Received
This position receives general supervision from the Fertility Preservation Program Manager and functions with professional independence in the delivery of patient education and counseling. Functional supervision and clinical guidance provided by the Medical Directors of the Fertility Preservation Program and collaborating clinical teams, including Reproductive Endocrinology, Gynecology, Urology, Oncology, Pediatrics, and other primary services.

Monday ? Friday, 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week
