LEPRA Society is an organization working for people affected by Leprosy, lymphatic filariasis, TB, HIV/AIDS & other NTDs, Eye Care and governed by a board comprising of distinguished individuals from across India.

Project Overview:

The project will contribute to the overall objective of the organization by setting up of Referral Centre at DHH, Early case detection through Active case finding in 6 blocks and 1 Municipality, early linkages to treatment and adherence to treatment, Counselling, developing linkages for Social security schemes & entitlements and prevention of disabilities, thereby, reducing transmission and promoting wellbeing of people affected by leprosy. The Mobile Van would be helpful in providing DPMR services to the 7 leprosy colonies, manufacturing of Grade II footwear and distribution of the same and reaching out to the mines’ areas. awareness generation, screening, case detection, early linkages with treatment, DPMR services, linkages with schemes, livelihood options and overall wellbeing of the persons affected by Leprosy would be the major aim of the project.

Women & children would be a priority in all activities.

The project would be aimed at awareness generation on leprosy, sensitization of GHS, MO, RMPs/PMPs, and frontline workers, new case detection, early linkages and adherence to treatment, Counselling of patients and family members, POD services including disability care at the referral centre, home based care, strengthening referral system, Socio economic rehabilitation of persons affected by leprosy and overall wellbeing of the persons affected by leprosy.

Looking for Field Coordinator position for immediate employment.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Field Coordinator will serve as a key link between the community health workers and the staff nurse. Stationed at the PHC level, the Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and mentoring Community Health Workers (CHWs), coordinating with local governance bodies, and supporting the effective implementation of integrated health promotion and disease prevention interventions.

S/he

  • Awareness generation in the community and sensitization of GHS
  • Would be responsible for strengthening of ACD&RS activities through monitoring and hand holding support to ASHAs and GHS
  • Would be responsible for operations of Referral centre and strengthening of the Block and district DPMR
  • Would be responsible for the Disability Prevention activities
  • Strengthening referral system

Any other tasks assigned by Line Manager.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Degree in Social Sciences / Health Management from a reputed university.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in relevant field.
  • Experience in working for National public health programmes. Preference will be given for experience in Leprosy/LF.
  • Comprehension of General Health Systems and Neglected Tropical Diseases.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Effective execution of programme activities in the field.
  • Networking with various stakeholders
  • Wiliness to travel extensively in the field.
  • Ability to identify and assess the needs/barriers/issues of beneficiaries.
  • Should have a human touch towards patients.
  • Proficient in patients counseling.
  • Fair documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Local language.
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Driving licenses for driving two wheelers

Gross Salary: Rs. 18,000 per month ( Eligible for staff benefits applicable to the cadre)
