Field Marketing Manager - Illinois

Reports to: VP of Sales

Location: Statewide (Illinois)

Compensation: $65,000 base salary + company vehicleTravel: Frequent travel throughout Illinois required

Position Overview

We are seeking an outgoing, self-motivated Field Marketing Manager with at least 2+ years of cannabis industry experience to represent our brand across Illinois.

This role is responsible for building strong, lasting relationships with budtenders and dispensary staff — educating, engaging, and turning them into brand advocates.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in social environments, enjoys talking about cannabis and wellness, and can independently manage their schedule while consistently meeting performance expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with budtenders and dispensary staff throughout Illinois• Conduct regular in-store visits to support product education and brand awareness• Execute dispensary pop-ups, and in-store activations as requested• Serve as a knowledgeable cannabis educator and brand ambassador• Identify and evaluate industry events, vendor days, and community opportunities• Present detailed event recommendations, including rationale and expected return on investment• Execute approved events and provide post-event recap reports• Track store visits, engagement metrics, and field performance• Maintain organized reporting using Excel and Notion• Partner closely with Sales and Marketing to align field efforts with revenue goals• Provide real-time market feedback and competitive insights

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in the cannabis industry (required)• Field marketing, brand ambassador, or sales experience preferred• Highly extroverted and confident in face-to-face interactions• Passionate about cannabis and health and wellness education• Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills• Comfortable creating and managing your own schedule while meeting KPIs• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel• Willingness to learn and consistently use Notion for tracking and reporting• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively throughout Illinois
