The Field Officer will execute the project of Locally lead Adaptation in district Thatta, overseeing project activities, fostering collaboration among team members, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project deliverables.

Specific Duties

• Mobilize communities to ensure their ownership and active involvement to project activities.

• Build capacity of community-based organizations (CBOs) through on-job support and structured trainings so that they can play their active role in project implementation.

• Ensure the implementation of agreed community actions on ground by getting engagement of community members.

• Ensure equal or acceptable participation of women and children in planned activities.

• Build linkages with local stakeholders for experience sharing and support-if needed.

• Timely report field progress and issues with suggested solutions to management.

• Do online trainings to enhance personal learning of project concepts/themes i.e. climate change adaptation, environment friendly community-based initiatives etc.

• Assist project management in recording learnings of implementation.

Education

Required

Preferred

Graduate from recognized University in Social Sciences.

Additional certification in the following: project management, climate Change and locally lead adaptation

Experience

3 years of relevant work experience with an International Humanitarian Organization in Programme Implementation

Experience in training and supporting staff

Knowledge and Skills

Basic knowledge of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement

Proficiency in computers (Windows, Microsoft Office, Email, Internet)

Report writing

Documentation preparation/presentation and computer-based production skills
