Job Description: Field Operations

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly driven and execution-focused Field Operations Manager who can independently manage on-ground operations, build vendor networks, hire field staff when required, and ensure smooth project execution.

This role requires strong ownership, relationship-building ability, and hands-on field presence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Field Execution & Project Setup

  • Visit designated field locations regularly.
  • Identify operational requirements and ensure timely setup.
  • Oversee on-ground execution and ensure standards are maintained.
  • Resolve real-time operational challenges independently.
  • Ensure daily reporting and performance tracking.

2. Vendor Management & Relationship Building

  • Identify and onboard reliable vendors/suppliers.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and maintain cost efficiency.
  • Build long-term relationships with vendors.
  • Monitor vendor performance, quality, and timelines.
  • Ensure timely procurement and uninterrupted supply chain.

3. Team Hiring & Management

  • Identify manpower requirements for field operations.
  • Conduct basic screening and hiring for ground-level roles.
  • Train field staff on operational processes and discipline.
  • Monitor staff performance and attendance.
  • Ensure accountability and smooth coordination.

4. Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure daily operational discipline and adherence to SOPs.
  • Maintain documentation and operational records.
  • Coordinate with internal management for approvals and updates.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between vendors, staff, and central team.

5. Ownership & Growth

  • Take full responsibility for assigned zones/projects.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion and operational improvement.
  • Provide weekly performance insights and suggestions.
  • Act as the single point of contact for field operations.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication & negotiation skills.
  • High ownership mindset.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Vendor handling experience preferred.
  • Hiring and team management experience preferred.
  • Comfortable with extensive field travel.
  • Basic understanding of costing and operational margins.

Preferred Background

  • 3–6 years experience in field operations / supply chain / vendor management / ground-level project execution.
  • Experience in retail, distribution, FMCG, QSR, or startup operations is a plus.
  • Local market knowledge preferred.
