Alfa Laval is a renowned brand in the Marine industry for its high-class products on board ships/vessels, including Oil Purifiers, Plate Heat Exchangers, Fresh Water Generators, Fuel Conditioning Modules, Ballast Water Treatment Systems, Sludge treatment systems, Aalborg Boilers, etc. The Marine Division aims to launch new products for trends in the industry like decarbonization and sustainability in shipping. We are looking for a professional Marine/Mechanical Engineer as a Senior Sales Engineer with strong Marine Industry knowledge and a solid industry network to drive Service Business in Marine & Diesel Power plants.

Job Description
  1. Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Alfa Laval products and services.
  2. Analyse and understand market insights and customers' buying behaviour and make sales plans according to the business division strategy and targets.
  3. Identify and manage leads from the market and customers and convert them into real business opportunities; owner of the Lead to Cash process.
  4. Be active in the market with visits, meetings, and interactions to customers, focusing on customer needs and highlighting the value of our products and services.
  5. Run the commercial operation by managing the customer grid and proactive planning in our tools. Build and maintain a sufficient network at customers.
  6. Understand customer needs and offer solutions with customer value.
  7. Use the CRM tool and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way to support the sales process and make decisions.
  8. Be an active member of the Marine service team with a team-spirit mindset.
  9. Work proactively and in a structured way to serve customers; customers come first as per Alfa Laval Service culture.
  10. Drive digitalization initiatives to expand presence and customer engagement.
  11. Ensure close coordination between Service Department, Service Operations, and International Marine Service Organization.
Who you are
  • You are a Marine Engineer with 4+ years of experience in the same field.
  • Industry, product, and application proven competence.
  • Business acumen - business/marketing analysis, contracts, pricing, sales & marketing.
  • Strong networking in the Marine industry and customer relationships; negotiating skills.
  • Systems/solutions engineering knowledge, technical and costing.
  • High proficiency in Alfa Laval core technology for Marine products.
  • Good communication skills; proficiency in Excel, Word, and presentation skills.
  • Relevant Engineering Degree in Marine/Mechanical.
  • Strong networking in Marine industry customers; ability to build organizational competencies in product/application.
