Field Service Dispatcher

Overview

Join Ice House America as a Field Service Dispatcher, where you will play a critical role in supporting our field service operation across multiple locations. This position is responsible for dispatching, routing, rerouting, and coordinating service technicians to ensure strong service levels, timely response, and efficient coverage of our customer and machine network.

This is not a freight or transportation role. We are looking for someone with experience dispatching and routing field service teams in industries such as HVAC, pest control, elevator, plumbing, or similar service-based operations. The right candidate understands how to manage a high-volume service , adjust routes in real time, balance technician workloads, respond to service issues, and keep the operation moving throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Dispatch and coordinate field service technicians across multiple service areas and locations
  • Build, adjust, and reroute daily service schedules based on call volume, priority, technician availability, location, and service needs
  • Monitor route efficiency, technician progress, and job completion throughout the day using routing and fleet management tools
  • Respond quickly to schedule changes, callouts, urgent service requests, and delays to maintain service levels
  • Communicate clearly with technicians, managers, and internal teams regarding schedule changes, service priorities, and operational issues
  • Balance workload across the team to improve coverage, productivity, and customer response times
  • Track open calls, completed work, service delays, and exceptions to ensure proper follow through
  • Maintain accurate dispatch records, service notes, and routing updates within internal systems
  • Partner with operations leadership to identify trends, improve routing logic, and support continuous improvement in the field
  • Help ensure technicians are properly assigned based on geography, skill set, and service urgency
  • Support multi-site field service coverage planning, including backup coverage and schedule adjustments as business needs change

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of dispatching, routing, or service coordination experience in a field service environment
  • Strongly preferred background in HVAC, pest control, elevator, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, or other route-based service operations
  • Experience managing multi-stop, multi-technician, or multi-site service scheduling
  • Proven ability to reroute and reprioritize work in real time while maintaining service levels
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with field teams, managers, and internal partners
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow through
  • Comfortable using dispatch, routing, GPS (Samsara), fleet management, or service management systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities at once
  • Strong problem solving skills and sound judgment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service-related systems is preferred

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
