Field Supervisor (Landscaping)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Field Supervisor to lead our landscaping and grounds maintenance teams. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of outdoor projects, ensuring high-quality landscape maintenance, lawn care, and hardscape installations. Your leadership will drive team performance, coordinate with clients and project managers, and uphold safety standards across various construction projects. Duties

• Supervise and manage landscaping crews to ensure efficient completion of lawn care, planting, pruning, and grounds maintenance tasks
• Oversee landscape installation projects including hardscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls
• Coordinate irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure optimal water management across sites
• Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and health of landscapes
• Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation tools
• Manage crew schedules, assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide on-the-spot training or guidance as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols during outdoor work activities and maintain a clean work environment
• Communicate regularly with clients and project managers to update on project status and address any issues promptly

Qualifications

• Proven supervising experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance with strong team management skills
• Extensive outdoor work experience including lawn care, gardening, tree care, and landscape maintenance
• Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant identification techniques
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely; grounds maintenance tools familiarity required
• Experience with irrigation management systems and hardscape construction preferred
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles required for site visits and project coordination
• Construction experience related to projects is advantageous but not mandatory
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on safety standards and quality assurance

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
