Position Summary
HomeLink Solar is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Supervisor / Service Quality Supervisor to oversee field quality, safety, service operations, and installation standards across our solar and battery divisions.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining OSHA compliance, improving installation quality, supporting technician development, conducting field audits, assisting with inspections, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring every project meets HomeLink Solar standards.
The ideal candidate is an experienced solar professional with strong leadership abilities, advanced troubleshooting skills, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience in both construction and solar service operations.
This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must possess recent solar industry experience and strong technical abilities.
Schedule
This position works 4-10 hour shifts a week. Monday thru Friday (not on the weekends)

Company Vehicle Usage
This position utilizes company-owned vehicles to support daily field operations and maintain a professional company presence. Employees are expected to report to the office at the beginning of each workday and, when required for field activities, will be assigned a company vehicle for business use during that shift.
Company vehicles are assigned on a daily basis and are not permanently assigned to individual employees. Vehicles must be returned to the office or designated company facility at the end of each workday and properly checked back in according to company procedures.
Company vehicles are to be used exclusively for authorized business purposes. Personal use of company vehicles, including commuting to and from home, is strictly prohibited unless otherwise authorized by management.
Employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively while operating company vehicles in the community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly safety meetings with installation teams.
- Perform job site inspections to verify OSHA compliance.
- Conduct post-installation quality audits.
- Evaluate workmanship, safety, code compliance, and installation standards.
- Identify field deficiencies and develop corrective action plans.
- Provide coaching and field training to installation personnel.
- Develop training programs based on field observations.
- Conduct Service Site Assessments (SSA).
- Host AHJ inspections and communicate professionally with inspectors.
- Troubleshoot solar and battery systems.
- Perform electrical testing and system diagnostics.
- Support service operations and resolve field issues.
- Verify system production and operational performance.
- Perform field documentation using CRM platforms and mobile applications.
- Maintain required job site visit quotas.
- Collaborate with operations, leadership, and service teams.
- Ensure all work meets HomeLink Solar standards, manufacturer requirements, and electrical codes.
General Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 75 pounds with assistance when necessary.
- Previous Solar Industry employement within the last 12 months,
- Minimum 4 years of electrical experience, including troubleshooting.
- Minimum 1 year of recent hands-on solar experience within the last 12 months.
- Previous stucco and lath experience required.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety requirements.
- Experience troubleshooting residential solar systems.
- Strong understanding of residential solar and battery installations.
- Ability to read electrical plans, single-line diagrams, and CAD drawings.
- Experience using mobile applications, CRM systems, and photo documentation software.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, understandable explanations for homeowners, inspectors, and team members while maintaining professionalism and minimizing unnecessary concern or confusion.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision, effectively managing all schedules, priorities, and field responsibilities while demonstrating initiative, sound decision-making, accountability, and a results-driven approach.
- Valid California driver’s license, with clean driving record for the current and past 5 years.
- No past or pending DUI’s.
- Must pass a background check.

- AC and DC voltage testing.
- Solar production diagnostics.
- Main service panel troubleshooting.
- Electrical testing procedures.
- Ground fault diagnostics.
- Main panel upgrades.

- Battery systems.
- Waterproofing and roof penetrations.
- Electrical code requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Electrician.
- OSHA 60 certification.
- AHJ inspection experience.
- Service Site Assessment experience.
- Tesla Powerwall 3 installation and commissioning.
- Enphase system experience.
- Franklin battery experience.
- Previous construction experience before entering solar.
- Roofing, waterproofing, stucco, and lath repair experience.
- Experience training field personnel.
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
