Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Field Technician (Concrete Repairs) with hands-on experience in construction and repair activities. The candidate will perform concrete repair works, anchoring, drilling, and sealing tasks in accordance with approved procedures and safety standards within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute concrete repair and rehabilitation works including:
- Concrete anchoring and fastening systems
- Concrete repair (patching, restoration, finishing)
- Rebar installation and treatment
- Core drilling and hole preparation in line with CP-A1 D.20 requirements
- Penetration sealing works as per CP-A2 D.18
- Follow approved Repair Work Plans (RWP), method statements, and site procedures.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., drilling machines, grouting equipment).
- Ensure proper surface preparation, material mixing, and application techniques.
- Assist supervisors and engineers in executing repair activities on-site.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and clean condition.
- Support Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) activities and ensure readiness for inspections.
- Adhere strictly to site safety requirements and permit-to-work systems.
- Apply Human Performance (HU) tools and contribute to a strong safety culture.
Qualifications:
- Technical Diploma or Trade Certification in construction, civil works, or a related field.
- Minimum X+ years of hands-on experience in concrete repair or construction works.
Technical Skills & Competencies:
- Practical experience in:
- Concrete repair and finishing techniques
- Anchor installation systems
- Rebar fixing and treatment
- Drilling and coring operations
- Grouting and sealing systems
- Ability to read and follow basic drawings, method statements, and instructions.
- Skilled in using construction tools and equipment relevant to repair works.
Certifications & Site Requirements:
- Valid and required certifications:
- Trade certifications / craft qualifications
- PAT / GET
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space Entry
- Mandatory site access and compliance:
- FFD (Fitness for Duty)
- UAA clearance
- CICPA access pass
Additional Requirements:
- Basic English communication skills sufficient for PAT/site access and safety compliance.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong awareness of safety practices and procedures.
- Team player with a disciplined and responsible work approach.
