The Opportunity
We’re looking for passionate, playful, and reliable Teaching Artists with backgrounds in Film, Theater, and/or Dance to join our growing San Diego team! Whether you specialize in one discipline or love to blend them all, this is your chance to spark joy and creativity in the lives of young artists aged 4–14.

Classes are held in Clairemont on weekends (and some weekday afternoons), and we provide a collaborative, supportive environment where your ideas and energy are celebrated.

What You'll Do

• Lead dynamic, age-appropriate classes that get kids moving, imagining, performing, and creating
• Develop fun, flexible lesson plans centered on child-led exploration and storytelling
• Cultivate a warm and inclusive classroom where every child feels safe, seen, and supported
• Guide students in creating mini-performances, short films, dance pieces, or character work—depending on your area of expertise
• Communicate with families about student progress and classroom highlights
• Collaborate with our creative team and help us dream up exciting new projects

Who You Are

• An artist, educator, or both—with experience in dance, theater, or film/video production
• You bring positive energy, playfulness, and a deep respect for children’s ideas
• You’re reliable, communicative, and organized (must have reliable transportation)
• You have experience working with kids ages 4–14 and love creating joyful learning spaces
• Bonus points if you’ve worked in Montessori, Reggio Emilia, progressive, or project-based programs

Requirements

• Prior teaching experience with children (formal or informal!)
• Passion for the arts and for helping children express themselves creatively
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Must pass a background check
• Bachelor's degree in specialized subject
