We are seeking an experienced
Finance & Accounting Lead
with a strong shipping industry background to oversee accounting, controlling, and performance management for our partnership in the Shipping and Energy Logistics Division. This role combines hands-on financial leadership with close coordination of operational costs and technical management to ensure accurate reporting and cost efficiency across the fleet.
Key Responsibilities

Accounting Management

Oversee multi division’s accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Supervise and mentor the accountant within the local team, providing

guidance on accounting entries, reconciliations, and month-end processes.

Coordinate and review U.S. accounting entries with group policies and US GAAP standards.

Manage QuickBooks accounting system, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and proper integration with group reporting.

Ensure full compliance with local statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal control policies.
Controlling & Performance Management & Business Partnering

Lead multi division’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control

Monitor and analyze shipping voyage and running costs such as bunker, charter hire rates, port charges crew, insurance, and technical expenses.

Follow-up on all operational costs and items impacting vessel performance in coordination with the technical management company, ensuring cost accuracy and accountability.

Review technical management company invoices, vessel operating expenses, and repair and maintenance costs

Prepare monthly management reports and KPIs to support divisional leadership and provide insights into cost trends and operational efficiency.

Serve as the key liaison between the Shipping & Energy Division,

Technical Management, and Group Finance.
Financial Planning & Analysis

Develop and monitor financial models supporting business decisions, investment analysis, and operational efficiency

Support annual budget and forecast processes, ensuring alignment with top management

Partner with operational teams to evaluate cost-saving opportunities and improve overall voyage and vessel profitability.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

6 - 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and controlling, within the shipping industry

Proven knowledge of shipping accounting and cost principles, including voyage accounting, vessel opex, and technical management cost tracking.

Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software, with strong experience in Excel and fleet management software.

Solid understanding of international reporting standards (USGAAP and/or IFRS).

Excellent stakeholder management, and communication skills in a cross-cultural environment.

Fluent in English.
