Finance and Admin Manager - FMCG

Doha, Qatar

Our client is an upcoming premium food manufacturing company based in Doha, Qatar, operating within the FMCG, health & beauty, and gourmet food sectors. Known for their strong presence in B2C e-commerce and B2B distribution across the GCC, they continue to set high standards in quality, innovation, and operational excellence. To support their growth, we are seeking a Finance and Administration Manager to lead financial planning, manage administrative functions, and ensure robust governance across the organization.

Job Title: Finance & Admin Manager
Location: State of Qatar
Reports To: Founder / Chief Executive Officer
Working Days: Sunday to Thursday
Working Hours: 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM
Preference: Candidates with prior experience as a Finance & Admin Manager in the FMCG sector are strongly preferred.

Role Overview:
The Finance & Administration Manager will play a key role in establishing and managing the company’s financial foundation during its early growth phase. This position will lead the setup of accounting systems, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain tax and legal compliance, and provide investor-ready financial visibility. Additionally, the role will contribute to building internal policies and administrative structures that align with the company’s startup environment and long-term growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Setup & Controls

  • Select and implement a cloud-based accounting system suitable for the business model.
  • Develop a scalable chart of accounts and workflows tailored to an inventory-driven trading business.
  • Implement robust processes for expense management, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.

Financial Management

  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
  • Monitor COGS, gross margins, and unit economics across various product SKUs.
  • Maintain budgetary controls and prepare cash flow forecasts to ensure ongoing financial health.
  • Create and manage product pricing models aligned with costs and target margins.
  • Analyze pricing performance and recommend adjustments to support profitability and competitiveness.

Compliance & Administration

  • Manage VAT registration, invoicing, and periodic filings in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of regulatory licenses, food trade permits, and compliance-related documents.
  • Support payroll setup and assist in HR administrative tasks.
  • Help develop and enforce internal SOPs, onboarding documentation, leave policies, and expense guidelines.

Banking & Debt Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with banks and funding institutions.
  • Oversee administration of loan accounts, ensuring accurate reporting to lenders.
  • Track repayment schedules, interest accruals, and compliance with debt covenants.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or startup financial operations.
  • Proven experience implementing accounting tools and structuring finance workflows.
  • Familiarity with GCC tax laws, compliance standards, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with HR operations or policy development in startups or SMEs is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based accounting platforms and digital tools for financial reporting and operations.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently in a flexible, remote startup environment.
