The Performance Lab (TPL) is a multi-disciplinary medical practice dedicated to the rehabilitation of patients recovering from musculoskeletal (MSK) and brain injuries. With a team of experienced Medical Doctors specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine, Interventional Pain, Neurology, and Traumatic Brain Injury, TPL offers comprehensive, hospital-level care in a convenient outpatient setting. We will offer life care planning service to patients within our ecosystem or by referral. By integrating a wide range of services under one roof, The Performance Lab ensures personalized, continuous support throughout each patient's recovery journey.

The Role

As our Finance and Operations Assistant, you'll handle day-to-day accounting operations while gaining broad startup finance experience. This is a growth role with Director of Finance mentorship and advancement opportunities as we scale.

Key Responsibilities

Core Accounting

  • Bookkeeping and Payroll processing
  • Process AP/AR, including monitoring collections
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Process expense reports and maintain documentation
  • Support month-end close, journal entries, and accruals
  • Maintain fixed assets, lease and depreciation schedules
  • Oversee office and clinical ordering, maintaining optimal stock levels without over-purchasing.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Help prepare monthly financial statements
  • Support tax filings
  • Maintain compliance calendars and deadlines

Special Projects

  • Help implement new accounting software
  • Document processes and procedures
  • Support other operational areas as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 1-3 years accounting experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information

Additional Qualifications (Optional):

  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Comfortable using the latest technologies, including AI

What We Offer

  • Salary: $60,000-$65,000 dependent on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
