Finance Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to support the costing and procurement process by evaluating quotations, conducting market surveys, visiting vendor shops and project sites and identifying reliable vendors to ensure cost efficiency and quality compliance.

Qualification: ICMA, CA (Inter), bachelor's or master's degree in finance, or a related field

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in costing, procurement, or a similar role.
Fresh candidates with relevant qualifications and strong analytical skills may also be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and compare vendor quotations based on cost, quality, specifications, and timelines
• Conduct market visits to verify prevailing rates and material quality
• Visit vendor shops/factories to assess capability, pricing, and reliability
• Perform site visits to understand project requirements and actual material usage
• Search, shortlist, and onboard new vendors and suppliers
• Maintain updated records of vendor rates, quotations, and comparisons
• Prepare cost comparison sheets and submit recommendations to management
• Coordinate with engineering, site, and procurement teams for accurate costing
• Monitor price fluctuations in the market and report impact on project costing
• Ensure quotations align with approved specifications and drawings
• Support negotiation process by providing market-backed cost analysis

Requirements:

• Strong analytical and costing skills
• Sound knowledge of construction/ material market rates
• Ability to conduct market research and vendor evaluations
• ERP system expertise (SAP / Oracle / any relevant Software)
• Proficient in MS Excel and costing reports
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Willingness to travel for market, vendor, and site visits
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and follow-up skills
